We are now in the midst of the bitter cold winter! Yes, its really cold out there! BUT its much warmer inside the barn out of the wind! Please dress in layers as you may find yourself warming up as the lesson is happening. Parents we will have the warm little observation room for you to go inside to watch if you would like to (ask your instructor for details).
IF the roads are too dangerous to drive, call us! If it is under 20* and your rider does not feel comfortable riding, call us! If it is under 10* we will call you to cancel as it is not good to work the horses in this temperature. We hope to not have too many cancelations during this winter, but safety for horses and riders are the number one concern. If you need ideas on how to stay warm let us know! I will list a few on here too!
Layers (for both top and bottom)
Snow boots to groom in are better for standing on concrete
Ear covers (Slim head bands work under helmets, or they do make fleece helmet covers)
Thick Socks, but not so thick you can not wiggle your toes
Warm gloves to groom in and thinner warm gloves, with grip, to ride in
Hot coffee/Hot Chocolate to sip on!
