In our lesson program you will learn everything from grooming and tacking, to riding the smooth different gaits of the walker along with challenging patterns. Our lessons will prepare you for the show ring or the open trail.
The majority of our lessons are taught in an hour session with one on one instruction. These lessons will include the following: Getting the horse out of the stall or pasture, grooming with the proper brushes, tacking the horse, riding the remainder of the lesson, and putting the horse away at the end. It averages out with 35-40 mins of riding and the rest on the ground working with the horse. These lessons can only be booked on the hour mark.
A half hour no groom lesson. The lesson will only include a half hour of riding and that is it. Your horse will be ready for you when you arrive at the farm and put away for you at the end of the lesson. This is an ideal style of lesson for the allergic horse lover, the fair weather rider who may get too cold grooming in the winter or the busy schedule rider. These lessons can be booked on the hour or the half hour mark.
Lessons are designed to work with each individual at his or her own pace and comfort zone. When we have students with similar riding abilities we encourage some group lessons to widen your ability and learn from each other.
